Proposed amendments
Hon Michael Woodhouse, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 53
In clause 53(1), after paragraph (d) (page 32, after line 21), insert:
(da)
how long the data is being accessed for; and
(db)
the manner in which the research will be used; and
In clause 53, after subclause (1) (page 32, after line 23), insert:
(1A)
Information required to be published under subsection (1) must be published on the Statistics New Zealand website and updated monthly.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Data and Statistics Bill. It would amend clause 53 to increase the information published about data being used for research, and require the Government Statistician to publish the information online at least monthly.
