Oversight of Oranga Tamariki System and Children and Young People’s Commission Bill
Proposed amendment
Harete Hipango, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 14
In clause 14(2), replace paragraph (c) (page 16, lines 1 to 4) with:
(c)
assessing outcomes for children, young people, families, and whānau, and iwi who receive services or support through the Oranga Tamariki system, and changes in outcomes over time, with particular regard to—
(i)
Māori children and young people and their whānau:
(ii)
disabled children and young people.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Oversight of Oranga Tamariki System and Children and Young People’s Commission Bill. The Monitor should also have particular regard for assessing outcomes for disabled children and young people.
