Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Fisheries Amendment Bill. It would ensure so-called “bait fish” or very common fish, which can be caught in very large numbers, are excluded from the list. This would mean that the limit of 50 fish is limited to valuable fish which are already listed in the quota management system. This also aligns the system.
