Proposed amendments

Simon Watts, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 2

Replace clause 2(2) (page 12, lines 13 to 15) with:

The rest of this Act comes into force on 1 July 2024.

Delete clause 2(3) (page 12, lines 16 and 17).

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper removes the provision allowing for the rest of the Bill to come into force by Order in Council. This will ensure that the remaining non-transitional provisions do not come into force until 1 July 2024.
