Proposed amendments

Hon Eugenie Sage, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 6

In clause 6, replace the definition of green stormwater infrastructure (page 16, lines 11 to 16) with:

green water services infrastructure—

(a)

means a natural or semi-natural area, feature, or process that mimics natural areas, features, or processes that are planned or managed to provide water services; and

(b)

includes an engineered system that is an area, feature, or process that complies with paragraph (a)

In clause 6, definition of stormwater network, replace “green stormwater infrastructure” (page 17, line 19) with “green water services infrastructure that delivers stormwater water services”.

Clause 13

After clause 13(b) (page 21, after line 7), insert:

(baa)

having regard in the delivery of water services to—

(i)

green water services infrastructure (as defined in section 6); and

(ii)

water sensitive design; and

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper proposes changes to the Water Services Entities Bill.

New clause 13(baa) provides for an additional operating principle of a water services entity. The additional operating principle is having regard in the delivery of water services to—

  • green water services infrastructure (as defined in clause 6); and

  • water sensitive design.
