Proposed amendments
Ricardo Menéndez March, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Schedule 1
In Schedule 1, Part 1, delete “There are no transitional, savings, or related provisions in this Act as enacted.”
(page 3, line 6).
In Schedule 1, Part 1 (page 3, after line 5), insert:
1 Continuation of Act for proposed FPAs approved or initiated
(1)
Despite the repeal of the Fair Pay Agreements Act 2022 by section 5 of this Act, the provisions of that Act are to be treated as continuing in force for any proposed FPAs that have been approved or initiated prior to the repeal of that Act for the purposes of concluding and regulating the fair pay agreement.
(2)
Subclause (1) continues to have effect despite the repeal of this Act under section 4.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Fair Pay Agreements Act Repeal Bill to allow for proposed fair pay agreements that have been approved or initiated to run their full course to conclusion, regulated by the provisions of the Fair Pay Agreements Act 2022.
