Proposed amendments
Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 40
In clause 40, new section 212T(2), delete “, or other person who has accepted responsibility for the education of the student,”
(page 25, lines 29 and 30).
In clause 40, new section 212V(2), delete “or other person who has accepted responsibility for the education of a student at the charter school”
(page 27, lines 11 and 12).
In clause 40, new section 212W(1), delete “, or other person who has accepted responsibility for the education of a student at a charter school,”
(page 27, lines 29 and 30).
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training Amendment Bill. The definition of “parent”
in section 10 of the principal Act already covers “the mother, father, or guardian of the individual”
. There is no reasonable cause to extend beyond the current definition.
