Clause 53
In clause 53, new section 548A(2)(a)(iii), delete “, unless the service provider of the early childhood service, who is an individual, has consented to the publication or disclosure of information regarding the service they operate”
.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training Amendment Bill. Considering that the data is relating to the socio-economic status of the children attending early childhood services and their families, one would presume that any consent should be from the child’s family. It would be inappropriate for the service provider to consent on personal information that is not theirs.
