Proposed amendment
Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Schedule 2
In Schedule 2, new Schedule 6A, clause 4A, replace subclause (2) (page 50, lines 21 and 22) with:
(2)
The annual report must include—
(a)
information on the number of new and converted charter schools approved by the Authorisation Board in that year; and
(b)
summary information on performance targets and outcomes for all charter schools that were operational for the full duration of that year.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training Amendment Bill. Under new section 212L(5)(f)(i), charter school contracts must require the school to submit an annual self-audit report that includes performance targets and outcomes. A summary of charter school self-audit reports should be included in the annual report from the Authorisation Board to the Minister.
