Proposed amendment

Hon Dr Duncan Webb, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Schedule 3, clause 4

In Schedule 3, clause 4(1), replace “suitably qualified lawyer or planner with experience in relevant law” (page 83, lines 7 and 8) with “retired High Court Judge or current or retired Environment Judge” .

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Fast-track Approvals Bill. It recognises that the projects to be considered by a panel would usually be considered by a court, making it appropriate that a Judge be chairperson of the panel.
