Clause 3
In clause 3, after “regional or national benefits”
(page 6, line 11), insert “, in line with existing environmental protections and democratic processes”
.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the purpose clause of the Fast-track Approvals Bill to ensure those exercising functions, powers, and duties under the Act must consider the purpose of facilitating the delivery of infrastructure concurrently with existing environmental protections in other legislation, such as the RMA.
