Proposed amendment
Hon Julie Anne Genter, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 4
In clause 4(1), after the definition of responsible agency (page 12, after line 26), insert:
significant regional or national benefits—
(a)
means public infrastructure projects that provide a public good; and
(b)
includes, without limitation, public infrastructure projects that relate to—
(i)
sustainable transport:
(ii)
water:
(iii)
hospitals:
(iv)
education:
(v)
renewable energy generation:
(vi)
telecommunications
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the interpretation clause in the Fast-track Approvals Bill to insert a new definition of significant regional or national benefits.
