Clause 22B
In clause 22B(2)(a), after paragraph (vii) (page 37, after line 33), insert:
(viia)
is consistent with New Zealand’s emissions reduction targets under the Climate Change Response Act 2002:
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Fast-track Approvals Bill. The Minister should consider both whether the project supports climate change mitigation and whether projects are consistent with New Zealand’s emissions reduction targets under the Climate Change Response Act 2002.
