Proposed amendments
Steve Abel, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 22B
In clause 22B(4), before paragraph (a) (page 38, before line 13), insert:
(aaa)
the environmental impacts of the competing activities; and
In clause 22B(4)(a), delete “economic”
(page 38, line 13).
In clause 22B(4)(b), replace “; and”
(page 38, line 16) with “.”

In clause 22B(4), delete paragraph (c) (page 38, line 17).
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Fast-track Approvals Bill.
The environmental impacts of the activities should be the highest priority in the hierarchy of consideration by Ministers.
In addition, all benefits of the project (whether environmental, social, and cultural, or economic) should be considered, not just the economic benefits.
