Steve Abel, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Schedule 4

In Schedule 4, clause 16(3)(a), replace “giving the greatest weight to subparagraph (i)” (page 137, line 30) with “giving the greatest weight to subparagraph (ii)”.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Fast-track Approvals Bill. These amendments would give greater weighting to the considerations in clause 16(3)(a)(ii) in Schedule 4 over clause 16(3)(a)(i), requiring the expert panel to consider the relevant provisions of the Fisheries Act 1996 over the purpose of this Bill.
