Schedule 5
In Schedule 5, clause 17D, replace subclause (2) (page 158, lines 7 to 10) with:

The panel must not grant the application unless the panel is satisfied that the land exchange will result in an equal or greater conservation benefit of the same nature.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Fast-track Approvals Bill. It would require that the expert panel can only grant an application for a land exchange if it is satisfied that the land exchange will result in an equal or greater conservation benefit of the same nature.
