Clause 9
Replace clause 9 (page 2, lines 23 to 25) with:
9 Regulation 28 amended (Custody of controlled drugs)
Revoke regulation 28(4)(e).
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Misuse of Drugs (Pseudoephedrine) Amendment Bill 2024 to ensure the appropriate storage of pseudoephedrine in pharmacies to mitigate the risk of drug-related crime resulting from the reclassification of pseudoephedrine from a Class B2 to a Class C3 controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975.
