Proposed amendments
Tangi Utikere, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 1
In clause 1, replace “(Clean Vehicle Standard)”
(page 1, line 3) with “(Transport Budget Measures)”

Clause 2
In clause 2(2), replace “1 July 2025”
(page 1, line 7) with “1 July 2026”
.
Clause 5
In clause 5, after new section 167BA(1) (page 2, after line 15), insert:
(1A)
Before any regulations are made under section 167(1)(j) for the purpose specified in subsection (1), both of the following conditions must be satisfied:
(a)
the regulations will appropriately increase the supply and availability of vehicles with zero carbon dioxide emissions; and
(b)
the imposition of the regulations is appropriate after considering international and domestic climate change ambitions and commitments.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Land Transport (Clean Vehicle Standard) Amendment Bill.
