Proposed amendment

Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 40

In clause 40, new section 212F(1)(b)(ii), replace “1” (page 16, line 31) with “3”.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training Amendment Bill. One or more members of the school community is too low a threshold to show support for the proposed sponsor from the school community. “3” has been taken for the amendment on the basis that the minimum number of parent-elected members for a standard board is three.
