Delete clause 31 (page 39, lines 21 to 24).

Delete clause 32 (page 39, lines 25 to 27).

Clause 39

Delete clause 39 (page 42, line 14 to page 43, line 4).

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper sets out amendments to the Social Security Amendment Bill to remove changes to double the period in which obligation failures are counted. Extending the period is unfair, and more people would face sanctions despite no change to their compliance.
