In clause 2(2), delete paragraph (e) (page 8, lines 1 to 3).
Clause 52
Delete clause 52 (page 46, lines 33 to page 47, line 10).
Clause 53
Delete clause 53 (page 47, lines 11 to 15).
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper sets out amendments to the Social Security Amendment Bill to remove the ability for the Ministry of Social Development to use automated decision making for decisions relating to the application of sanctions and the expiry of benefits. The application of sanctions should not be administered by computers without human interaction.
