Proposed amendment

Tangi Utikere, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 15

After clause 15(1)(e) (page 44, after line 4), insert:

(f)

to collaborate with neighbouring local authorities or other water service providers to enter into a joint water service provider arrangement, as set out in section 24.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper would amend clause 15 of the Local Government (Water Services) Bill to ensure that councils must demonstrate consideration of regional collaboration in their water services planning.
