Proposed amendment

Tangi Utikere, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 18

Replace clause 18(1)(c) (page 46, lines 11 to 13) with:

(c)

sell, transfer, or otherwise privatise water services assets, and must ensure they are retained in public ownership and control; or

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Local Government (Water Services) Bill to protect water infrastructure from privatisation.
