Proposed amendment

Hon Marama Davidson, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 7

After clause 7, new section 19A(3) (page 3, after line 27), insert:

(4)

This section does not apply to goods that are second-hand goods.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Consumer Guarantees (Right to Repair) Amendment Bill to exclude second hand products from the right to repair, as it would be impractical, especially when second hand shops already assist to reduce waste.
