Companies (Address Information) Amendment Bill
Proposed amendments
Hon Dr Deborah Russell, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 5
In clause 5, new section 360G(1), replace paragraph (b) (page 5, lines 24 to 27) with:
(b)
the director notifies the Registrar that they no longer wish to have an alternative address in relation to the company.
In clause 5, new section 360G(3)(b), delete subparagraph (i) (page 6, lines 1 and 2).
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Companies (Address Information) Amendment Bill. If a director ceases to be a director of a company, then the bill in its current form would require their residential address to be restored to the New Zealand register. However, the reasons for using an alternative address may not have changed. This amendment to clause 5 enables the alternative address to be retained on records even if the person is no longer a director.
