Proposed amendment

Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 8

In clause 8, new section 127(2)(c)(iii), after “stigma” (page 4, line 28), insert “, ableism”.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training Amendment Bill (No 2). While ableism may be considered a form of discrimination, it should be specified nonetheless to signal its importance in our education system.
