Proposed amendments

Celia Wade-Brown, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 119

In clause 119(1), replace “$6,000” (page 51, line 21) with “$1,000”.

In clause 119(2), replace “$6,000” (page 51, line 22) with “$1,000”.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Electoral Amendment Bill to change the party donation disclosure threshold to $1,000.

The Independent Electoral Review recommended lowering the threshold to $1,000 to improve transparency and the integrity of the electoral system.
