Proposed amendment
Mike Davidson, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 19
In clause 19, replace subclause (2) (page 18, lines 24 to 29):
(2)
In assessing whether the applicant is suitable to hold a licence under subsection(1)(c), the Secretary must take into account—
(a)
the information provided under sections 14 and 18(1)(e) (including whether the applicant has a presence in New Zealand and whether the applicant makes contributions for community purposes in New Zealand); and
(b)
the appropriateness of the strategies provided under section 18(1)(a); and
(c)
any other matters that the Secretary considers relevant to the suitability of the applicant.
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Online Casino Gambling Bill.
