Clause 2
In clause 2, replace “6 July 2026”
(page 5, line 6) with “1 January 2027”

Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training (System Reform) Amendment Bill. Considering that the concerns on this bill have not been adequately addressed during the select committee stage, it would be appropriate to shift the commencement of the bill so that further work can be done by the Ministry in preparation. The commencement date has been updated since the select committee stage, so there is existing precedent to adjust the date further.
