Education and Training (System Reform) Amendment Bill

Proposed amendments

Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 2

In clause 2(2)(aaa), delete subparagraph (ii) (page 5, line 11).

In clause 2(2), after paragraph (a) (page 6, after line 11), insert:

(ab)

sections 47 to 50 come into force on a single date set by Order in Council; and

In clause 2(3), after “subsection (2)(a)” (page 6, line 14), insert “and (ab)”.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training (System Reform) Amendment Bill. Considering that the concerns of the Director of Regulation have not been adequately addressed during the select committee stage, it would be advisable to set sections 47 to 50 as coming into force on a single date set by Order in Council.
