Proposed amendment

Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 2

In clause 2(3), replace “1 October 2026” (page 6, line 15) with “1 February 2027”.

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training (System Reform) Amendment Bill. Considering that the concerns raised have not been adequately addressed during the select committee stage on this bill, it would be advisable to shift the commencement of the bill so further works can be done by the ministry in preparation for the bill. There is existing precedent to adjust commencement dates of this bill further.
