Proposed amendments

Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 10: new section 90B

In clause 10, new section 90B(1)(c), replace “; and” (page 11, line 19) with “.”.

In clause 10, delete new section 90B(1)(d) (page 11, line 20).

Explanatory note

This Amendment Paper deletes clause 10, new section 90B(1)(d) of the Education and Training (System Reform) Amendment Bill. While it is important for the Minister to refer to international evidence, it would be highly inappropriate to assume that such practices are adaptable to the Aotearoa New Zealand context and should be explicitly stated as part of a review.
