Clause 19
Delete clause 19 (page 9, lines 13 to 23).
Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper reverses the watering down of iwi-Māori partnership boards to retain their ability to influence local health priorities. Iwi-Māori partnership boards act as tangible vehicles for Māori to shape services in their communities and report on outcomes relevant to local needs. The removal of these functions would abandon meaningful partnership, as promised in te Tiriti o Waitangi.
