Part 8 Overseas protection orders

Preliminary provisions

215 Guide to this Part

This Part contains provisions about overseas protection orders, including provisions indicating that

(a)

the Registrar may request the appropriate court or authority in a foreign country to make arrangements for the enforcement in that country of a protection order made by a New Zealand court (see section 216):

(b)

a foreign protection order can be registered in a New Zealand court, and have effect and be enforced, as if it were a protection order made under this Act (see sections 219 and 221).
