57 Student attendance at religious observances not compulsory


A student enrolled at a State school may not be required to attend or take part in any religious observances if a parent of the student does not wish the student to take part and makes this wish known in writing to the principal.


A parent who has given an indication of wishes under subsection (1) may withdraw it.
