This marks an important step in improving access to New Zealand’s laws, particularly access to secondary legislation.
The switchover is scheduled for Sunday to minimise disruption for people who rely on the website for their day-to-day mahi.
It can take up to a few hours for the changes to fully propagate.
Your saved links to legislation will not break – they will be redirected.
If you use RSS feeds, you will need to update your feed reader with new URLs.
After switchover, the old website will be available for a while at classic.legislation.govt.nz.
Even after switchover, we will continue to add new features.
