PURSUANT to section 9 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, The Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Conservation, hereby proclaim as follows:

1 Title and commencement
  • (1) This Proclamation may be cited as the Wildlife Sanctuary (Stephens Island) Revocation Order 1996.

    (2) This Proclamation shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

2 Revocation of order
  • (1) The Wildlife Sanctuary (Stephens Island) Order 19661 is hereby revoked.

    (2) So much of Schedule 3 to the Conservation Act 1987 as relates to the Wildlife Sanctuary (Stephens Island) Order 1966 is hereby consequentially revoked.
