New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Stamp Amendment Regulations 1997

PURSUANT to section 72 of the Wildlife Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title and commencement
  • (1) These regulations may be cited as the New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Stamp Amendment Regulations 1997, and are part of the New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Stamp Regulations 19931 (the principal regulations).

    (2) These regulations come into force on 1 October 1997.

2 Issue of game bird habitat stamps
  • Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is revoked.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 October 1997, amend the New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Stamp Regulations 1993 by revoking the regulation that sets the fee for the game bird habitat stamp. The Wildlife Amendment Act (No 2) 1996 amended the Wildlife Act 1953 to allow the fees payable in respect of game bird habitat stamps, the basis upon which the fees are payable, and the persons or bodies to whom the fees are payable to be fixed by notice in the Gazette.
