Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity and Border Control, after having regard to the matters specified in that section, gives the following notice.

Notice

1 Title and commencement
  • (1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Catches) Notice 1999.

    (2) This notice comes into force on 1 April 1999.

2 Interpretation
  • In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, all references to quota management areas are references to those areas as defined in Part 3 of Schedule 1 of the Fisheries Act 1996.

3 Total allowable catches
  • The total allowable catch for each quota management area in respect of each species or class of fish specified in the Schedule is that stated in the final column of the Schedule against the quota management area for the species or class of fish.

4 Revocation
  • The Fisheries (Total Allowable Catches) Notice 1998 (SR 1998/38) is revoked.
