58 Repeatability

(1)

Class I and class II weighing instruments must be tested 6 times by using a load of less than 10% in excess or deficiency of half the maximum capacity of the instrument, and 6 times by using a load, of less than 10% in deficiency, of the maximum capacity of the instrument.

(2)

Class III and class IIII weighing instruments must be tested 3 times by using a load of less than 10% in excess or deficiency of half the maximum capacity of the instrument, and 3 times by using a load of less than 10% in deficiency of the maximum capacity of the instrument.

(3)

For each series of tests conducted in accordance with subclause (1) or subclause (2), the following must not be greater than the absolute value of the maximum permissible error for that instrument:

(a)

the difference between the result with the maximum amount of error in excess and the result with the minimum amount of error in excess; or

(b)

the difference between the result with the maximum amount of error in deficiency and the result with the minimum amount of error in deficiency; or

(c)

the difference between the result with the maximum amount of error in excess and the result with the maximum amount of error in deficiency.
