Order

1 Title

This order is the Education (Specified Institutions) Order 2000.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 1 July 2000.

Schedule 5 of the Education Act 1989 is amended by inserting, in their appropriate alphabetical order, the names of the following institutions:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2000, adds a number of institutions to the list of specified institutions in Schedule 5 of the Education Act 1989. These institutions are the Central Regional Health School, Felix Donnelly College, Homai Vision Education Centre, Northern Hospitals School, and Southern Regional Health School.

This means that these schools are special institutions for the purposes of section 95 of the Education Act 1989, and the Minister of Education may therefore determine the composition of the Boards of Trustees of those schools.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.

Date of notification in Gazette: 30 March 2000.
