Fisheries (Reporting) Amendment Regulations 2003

Fisheries (Reporting) Amendment Regulations 2003: revoked, on 1 October 2017, pursuant to regulation 52 of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2017 (LI 2017/154).

These regulations are administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.

Pursuant to section 297(1)(h) of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title

These regulations are the Fisheries (Reporting) Amendment Regulations 2003.

In these regulations, the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 20011 are called “the principal regulations”.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 31 March 2003.

3 Method of entering certain details on return

Regulation 36(4) of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after the words “processing returns”, the words “and tuna longlining catch effort returns”.

4 Schedule 2 amended

The principal regulations are amended by revoking form 7 of Schedule 2, and substituting the following form:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 31 March 2003, amend the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001 to—

  • insert a reference to tuna longlining catch effort returns into regulation 36(4) (which relates to the method of entering certain details on a return); and

  • substitute a new form 7 of Schedule 2 (which relates to tuna longlining catch effort returns).
