Social Security (Exemptions under Section 105) Amendment Regulations 2003: revoked, on 26 November 2018, pursuant to regulation 295(10) of the Social Security Regulations 2018 (LI 2018/202).

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Social Development.
Pursuant to sections 123D and 132 of the Social Security Act 1964, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

These regulations are the Social Security (Exemptions under Section 105) Amendment Regulations 2003.
(2)
In these regulations, the Social Security (Exemptions under Section 105) Regulations 19981 are called “the principal regulations”.

These regulations come into force on 8 December 2003.
Regulation 4(2)(c) of the principal regulations is revoked.
Regulation 5(2) of the principal regulations is amended by adding the word “; or” and also by adding the following paragraph:
“; or”
the person has, since turning 55 years of age, been subject to the work test for at least 6 months.

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 8 December 2003, remove the ability of work-tested beneficiaries aged 55 to 59 (other than work-tested spouses) to apply for an exemption from the work test under the Social Security Act 1964.
