(SR 2009/424)

Parliamentary Service (Additional Parliamentary Precinct) Resolution 2009: revoked, on 1 January 2019, by the Revocation of Parliamentary Service (Additional Parliamentary Precinct) Resolution 2009 (LI 2019/7).

Note

Changes authorised by subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Legislation Act 2012 have been made in this official reprint.

Note 4 at the end of this reprint provides a list of the amendments incorporated.

This resolution is administered by the Parliamentary Service.

Pursuant to section 25(1) of the Parliamentary Service Act 2000, the House of Representatives, by resolution made on 15 December 2009, added the following premises to the parliamentary precincts:

All that part of the mezzanine level of the building situated at Nos 1 and 3 The Terrace, Wellington, on land contained in Certificates of Title WN41C/804 and WN41C/805, with a net lettable area of 477.2 m2, being the areas outlined on the plan attached to the Eleventh Schedule to the Deed of Lease between AMP NZ Office 1 The Terrace Limited and the Parliamentary Corporation dated 12 August 2009.

Mary Harris,
Clerk of the House of Representatives.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the resolution, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

The House of Representatives, on 15 December 2009, resolved to add the defined premises to the parliamentary precincts, as authorised by section 25(1) of the Parliamentary Service Act 2000.

Because these premises have been leased for parliamentary purposes since the passing of the Parliamentary Service Act 2000, it is necessary to add them to the parliamentary precincts by resolution of the House of Representatives to enable—

  • the authority of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives to be exercised in respect of the additional premises; and

  • the Speaker to exercise the powers of an occupier under the Trespass Act 1980 in respect of these premises.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.

Date of notification in Gazette: 23 December 2009.
