Protection of fittings

15 Interference with, or movement of, fittings

(1)

A person must not damage or interfere with, or move or attempt to move, any of the fittings of a distribution system or gas measurement system, whether or not the fittings have been damaged, unless—

(a)

the person obtains permission from the owner or operator of the fittings; or

(b)

the person is authorised by an enactment; or

(c)

an emergency requires it.

(2)

A person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a level 1 penalty if the person fails to comply with subclause (1).
