Pursuant to section 19(2) of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 and after the requirements of section 20 of that Act have been followed, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Health and Disability (Establishment of Southern DHB) Order 2010.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on the close of 30 April 2010.

3 Interpretation

In this order, Schedule 1 means Schedule 1 of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000.

4 Schedule 1 amended

(1)

Schedule 1 is amended by omitting the items relating to Otago DHB and Southland DHB.

(2)

Schedule 1 is amended by adding the following item:

Southern DHBWaitaki District, Central Otago District, Dunedin City, Clutha District, Southland District, Gore District, Invercargill City, Queenstown-Lakes District

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the close of 30 April 2010, amends Schedule 1 of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000. This order abolishes Otago DHB and Southland DHB and establishes Southern DHB in their place.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2019.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Health and Disability (Establishment of Southern DHB) Order 2010 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
