Pursuant to section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

Notice

1 Title

This notice is the Corrections (Mount Eden Corrections Facility) Notice 2011.

2 Commencement

This notice takes effect from 26 May 2011.

3 Mount Eden Corrections Facility

The land described in the Schedule is a corrections prison to be known as Mount Eden Corrections Facility.

4 Consequential revocation

The Penal Institutions (Auckland Central Remand Prison) Notice 2001 (SR 2001/183) is revoked.

All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 3.7604 hectares, more or less, being Sections 1 and 3, Survey Office Plan 441360 and being part of the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register 552867, North Auckland Registry.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which takes effect from 26 May 2011 (that is to say, on 27 May 2011), is made under the Corrections Act 2004. It declares the land described in the Schedule to be a corrections prison to be known as the Mount Eden Corrections Facility (replacing the Auckland Central Remand Prison).

This notice revokes the Penal Institutions (Auckland Central Remand Prison) Notice 2001.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
