These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Social Development.

Pursuant to section 132 of the Social Security Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Social Security (Application of Work Test Obligations) Amendment Regulations 2013.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 15 July 2013.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Social Security (Application of Work Test Obligations) Regulations 2007 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 4 amended (Application of work test obligations)

In regulation 4(1), replace “(b), (c), and (h)(ii)” with “(b) and (c)”.

(2)

Revoke regulation 4(2), (3), and (4).

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 15 July 2013, amend the Social Security (Application of Work Test Obligations) Regulations 2007. Provisions on work test obligations of a person in respect of whom a job seeker agreement was in force at the close of 26 September 2010 are revoked. These revocations are consequential on the repeal of section 102A(1)(h) of the Social Security Act 1964 on 15 July 2013 by sections 2(1)(b) and 131(2) of the Social Security (Benefit Categories and Work Focus) Amendment Act 2013.
