Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Privacy Amendment Act 2013, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Privacy Amendment Act 2013 Commencement Order 2013.

2 Commencement of section 11 and Schedule of Privacy Amendment Act 2013

Section 11 and the Schedule of the Privacy Amendment Act 2013 come into force on 3 October 2013.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force section 11 and the Schedule of the Privacy Amendment Act 2013 on 3 October 2013. Section 11 inserts into the Privacy Act 1993 a new Schedule 2A (which relates to information sharing agreements made under Part 9A of that Act).
