These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Social Development.

Pursuant to section 132AC of the Social Security Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Amendment Regulations (No 3) 2013.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 26 September 2013.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 18 amended (Rate of childcare subsidy)

In regulation 18(1)(a), replace “27 September 2013” with “7 February 2014”.

5 Regulation 24 amended (Rate of OSCAR subsidy)

In regulation 24(a), replace “27 September 2013” with “7 February 2014”.

6 Schedule 2 amended

In the Schedule 2 heading, replace “27 September 2013” with “7 February 2014”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 26 September 2013, amend the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004 to postpone (from 27 September 2013 to 7 February 2014) the date on which the rates of the childcare subsidy and the OSCAR subsidy change for people who were receiving childcare assistance at any time within the 12-month period before 27 September 2010.
